Welcome to all thing's marijuana event organizing and temporary events. You must hold a marijuana event organizer license before you can apply for a temporary marijuana event.

DEFINITIONS:

Marijuana Event Organizer: a state license holder authorized to apply for a temporary marijuana event license in accordance with the MRTMA.


Temporary Marijuana Event License: a license held by a marijuana event organizer under this article and the MRTMA, which the state has approved, authorizing an event where the onsite sale or consumption of marijuana products, or both, are authorized at the location and on the dates indicated on the state operating license.

Organizing a CRA licensed temporary marijuana event also requires getting approved through the City's Special Events Process. It's ok if you haven't started yet, this application contains all the links you need later on.

Documents to upload for Temporary Marijuana Event License

        

-Event Organizer License from City and State of Michigan

-Lease, license, or other documentation showing that the applicant has permission to use the property

-Property tax clearance for the site that will be used for the event.

-Site diagram for the event indicating internal and external components including placement of vendor booths, tents, restroom facilities, trash, and parking and traffic management.

-Operations plan including dates, hours of operations, number of vendors, and number of expected attendees.

-Security plan, including cash and product handling, and transport.

Stakeholder Information*

I acknowledge that if this application is being completed on behalf of an organized legal entity I will upload a copy of a government issued ID for each person identified... also, the name, home address, telephone number and email of all direct and indirect owners, directors, members, managers, officers, partners, shareholders, and the registered agent, and the entity's bylaws, operating agreement, or other organizational documents indicating the ownership structure.

I acknowledge the City will investigate the income and property tax status of the applicant, its direct or indirect owners, directors, officers, members, managers, partners, shareholders, employees, and any medical marijuana facilities or adult-use marijuana establishments related to any of the aforementioned individuals, and that any outstanding taxes, fines, or fees will be paid prior to a license being issued.

Criminal Background Check*

I acknowledge the Detroit Police Department will perform criminal background checks on the applicant, and, in the case of an entity applicant, all individuals identified as part of the ownership direct or indirect owners of the entity.
