SCA (Qld) Corporate Strata Management Member Application Form - A1

Membership period 1 July 2024 - 30 June 2025

Cost: $898.18 (plus GST) base per entity plus $0.78 (plus GST) for every lot managed. The ongoing calculation of fees will be as of 30 June of every year (Per lot basis)

Note: This level is for strata management practices and the entity is known as the member and nominates at least one certified strata manager to give it voting rights.

The membership includes unlimited nominated persons/individual members.

SCA (Qld) and National Operations staff are not permitted to disclose this information to other parties including Board members or any third party in a manner that would identify an individual firm.

Eligibility Criteria

- The corporate entity must be able to nominate at least one industry qualified manager (i.e. a certified strata community manager) to enable a corporate certificate to be issued.

- The corporate entity has not been declared bankrupt.

- The company must carry professional indemnity insurance as prescribed by the Board.

The current prescribed minimum for professional indemnity insurance is $2million on any one claim.

- A current Professional Indemnity Insurance Certificate must accompany the application.

All Employees of a firm will be entitled to attend SCA (Qld) CPD sessions and On Demand Webinar recordings.

Excluded from Prepaid Webinar Package: A100, Committee Training, Strata Starters (BCM, Owner, Supplier), Masterclass/Emerging Leaders, Roadshow, Conference, Leadership and On Demand content provided by other States or SCA National.

Unlimited Webinar Pricing Structure:

0- 1000 lots: base fee $832.00 (net of GST)

1001 - 3000: base fee $832.00, plus $0.52 per lot over 1,000 (net of GST)

3001 - 6500: base fee $1,868.36, plus $0.42 per lot over 3,000 (net of GST)

6501 - 10000: base fee $3,322.91, plus $0.31 per lot over 6,500 (net of GST)

10001-20000: base fee $4,404.73, plus $0.10 per lot over 10,000, capped at $5,043.00 (net of GST)

20001 -30000: base fee $5,043.00, plus $0.05 per lot over 20,000, capped at $5,324.79 (net of GST)

30,001 - 40000: base fee $5,324.79, plus $0.05 per lot over 30,000, capped at $5,610.22 (net of GST)

40001+: base fee $5,610.22, plus $0.05 per lot over 40,000, capped at $6,362.62 (net of GST)

Eligibility Criteria

- Must be employed by a corporate member

- Must abide by the Code of Conduct

- The application will not meet the criteria guidelines where the applicant is not of good repute within the industry, has outstanding commissioner orders concerning practice standards, or where there is a history of commissioner orders of concern about practice standards and/or ethical issues

- Where the applicant is not known to the SCA (Qld) General Manager (GM) or the Board of Directors, the GM may request further information, e.g. usually by way of a Proposer and Seconder for the application.

- Has not been declared bankrupt or convicted of an offence involving dishonesty.

Renewal Eligibility*

- To be eligible for renewal, Accredited members are required to collect 24 CPD points in 24 months with 2 hours of compulsory and 2 hours of best practice.

A minimum of 6 SCA points per annum must be achieved.

- National Police Check provided every 3 years.
