Collaborative Public Safety Strategies: Community Review Panels

Community Reviewers are an important part of the Collaborative Public Safety Strategies process.

In order to help ensure this process is community-driven and that the ideas and proposals made reflect community needs, reviewers will score the ideas, as well as extended proposals, through a guided process with City of Minneapolis staff and content area experts.

We are looking for individuals to apply who are:

•Passionate and committed to the Minneapolis community

•Personally and/or professionally invested in Little Earth or West Broadway neighborhoods

•Looking to support or inspire new and innovative ways to solve the issue of community violence

•Have a keen eye for potential more than perfection

•Have a clear understanding of the neighborhoods they seek to review on behalf of, and

•Committed to reading and scoring proposals for an extended period of time, based on the scoring parameters

The Collaborative Public Safety Strategies' second round of community reviews will take place on May 31 through June 2, 2017. Once reviewers are selected they will receive more detailed information.

Please note your preference for attending a daytime or evening session below. Plan to spend 3 to 4 hours reviewing proposals. Location, date and time details will be communicated via email. It is critical that all applicants provide a correct and regularly checked email to participate in the Community Review process.

Reviewers will be required to sign a conflict of interest form and are expected to keep the process confidential.

If you are interested in participating in the review process, please submit your information via this form before end of day, Friday, May 26, 2017.
