Housing Deposit Exception Request Form

The housing security deposit serves two main purposes: (1) it reserves a spot for you within TWC’s housing, and (2) it is a “hold” for any damages within your living space and/or the replacement of lost keys/access cards, IDs or other materials you’ll receive at check-in. Please use the form below to request an exception (due to exceptionally unusual circumstances) to paying the $75 housing deposit required to guarantee a bed space in TWC housing facilities. In addition to completing this form, all requesters must submit the Credit Card Authorization Form, which is required in order for any request to be approved. This form authorizes TWC to charge your credit card, should you cancel your housing reservation prior to the check-in date (per the cancellation policy) or incur any damages while you stay in TWC residential facilities. Terms and Conditions of the Housing Security Deposit Exception

By submitting this request, the requester agrees to the following terms and conditions: CANCELLATION: The requester agrees to pay the $75 housing security deposit, in full, for cancellations within six (6) weeks of the check-in date. For cancellations on or after the check-in date, the requester agrees to pay the entire housing fee for the established term, along with the $75 housing security deposit. DAMAGES: The requester agrees to pay for any damages incurred during their stay within TWC facilities. Most of TWC housing is in shared apartments, and the expectation is one of a shared responsibility to care for the unit as a reasonable person would. Absent an occupant assuming responsibility for damages, any damage charges will be shared evenly across all occupants. “Damages” includes cost of repair, excessive cleaning required, or loss of furniture/fixtures. You will be assessed damages for community areas, if applicable. TWC commits to using reasonable standards of use in assessing damages; our intention is not punitive. LOST KEYS, IDS, & ACCESS CARDS: The requester agrees to pay TWC directly for any fees associated with losing their keys, IDs, or access cards. These fees will be assessed, as necessary, during the term, and payment will be due prior to the conclusion of the term.
