F1 in Schools Car Manufacture Request

NOTE WELL - Requests submitted that don't comply to our guidelines below will be rejected.

We do not check cars for regulations compliance, this is the responsibility of the team. The car body will be manufactured as sent. We will contact you if there are any major design issues that prevent manufacturing so these can be rectified.

3D Printed Wings (White Color Only):

1 x Set of Wheels (Professional Only) = 60 inc VAT

Checklist

Read and acknowledge all guideline items below. If you submit a design that doesn't follow these guidelines, it will be rejected, and you will need to resubmit.

File Type*

The file being uploaded must be an .STL file - no other file types are accepted.

Car Body Size Limit*

The car body does not exceed the size of the F1 in Schools model block which measures:

Width - 65mm
Height - 50mm
Length - 213mm

Separating the Car Components from the Car Body*

The car body must be submitted with nothing else attached such as wheels and 3D printed wings. The only exception to this is if you plan to have wings made from the same material as the F1 in Schools model block.

Thin Design Features*

The F1 in Schools model block material is very brittle when it is under 3mm in thickness. Any design feature below this thickness is likely to break or not come out as expected in the manufacturing process.

Front Wing Connector*

If connecting a 3D printed front wing to the car body, you must ensure the male part is on the car body and the female part on the front wing. Click here to see an example of a male to female front wing connector.

Reference Plate - Professional Only

Professional teams must have added the 'manufacturing reference plate' to their car body as per instructions at Support Website. Check below to confirm you have included the reference plate.

Separating 3D Printed Parts (if requesting 3D printing)

If you are requesting 3D printing, each component must be submitted as a separate file. If all wheels are the same, you only need to submit 1 wheel to us: do not include all 4.

Wheels*

All Test Driver and Rookie teams must use the standard F1 in Schools wheel system.
