Terms & Conditions of Hire
By checking this box you have read and agreed to the Waverley Council marquee hire terms and conditions listed below
No third party advertising
Company branded tear drop banners may be placed in the sand in front of your marquee (ocean side). No other third party advertising such as alcohol branding is permitted outside of your marquee
Glass is not permitted outside of the marquee
Polystyrene prodcuts are strictly prohibited
unless to transport food in. The hirer is responsible to ensure any polystyrene transportation boxes that came onto site with their caterer are taken off site by 3pm
Any kind of selling is prohibited
The sale of any items such as but not limited to; food, merchandise, beverages is strictly prohibited
Service of alcohol
If choosing to serve alcohol to invited guests, Responsible Service of Alcohol legislation must be complied with at all times.
Recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging only
this includes but is not limited to; eating utensils, plates, cups, serviettes, stirrers
Fire extinguishers are required if cooking
For every cooking facility there must be a suitable fire extinguisher at hand. If you have 2 x bbqs then you need to supply 2 x fire extinguidshers
All rubbish must be disposed of correctly
Council's waste minimisation strategy must be complied with at all times. All rubbish must be seperated into correct waste streams for recycling
No balloons are permitted
No balloons are permitted to be inside or outside of your marquee
Minimal/background sound amplification is allowed
Audio devices must be contained inside your marquee and must not impact on other marquee hirers.
Loud crowd noise will not be tolerated
We are here for a good day and all groups must not adversely affect their neighbors with loud noise
No Smoking on Bondi Beach
By checking this box the hirer's representative will ensure no one will smoke on the beach. Any smokers will be advised to use the promenade and ashtrays provided at bins.
Charcoal cooking is not permitted
No open fire of any kind is permitted
Marquees must be vacated by 3pm
And before vacating the marquee all litter/decorations must be cleared and placed in the appropriate bin. All bags of rubbish must be taken to the appropriate skip to dispose of. The marquess are to be left as found.
Damage or not cleaned Marquee/s
If the marquee structure is damaged in anyway due to the fault of the hirer, one of its partners, employees, agents, contractors or invitees,the hirer will be invoiced and must pay for all damages.
Payment of invoice required 14days from issue
In order to confirm the booking payment is required 14 days after receiving the invoice from Council. If payment is not received the booking will be released
Cancellation terms of agreement
Council can terminate this agreement in its absolute discretion by notice to your representative at anytime prior to the event. The City2Surf event itself may also be cancelled by the event organisers at any time in which case this agreement is immediately terminated. Council will not be liable to you for any loss or expenses arising out of this agreement or its termination or cancellation of the event.
If the booking of there part of the booking is canceled by the hirer’s representative after 1 July 2017, full fee is applicable. No refund will be issued.
Current public liaiblity insurance policy
At least 4 weeks prior to event day, you must submit a copy of a current public liability insurance policy for more than $10million noting Waverley Council as an interested party
