Tell Us About Your Team's FD.io Interest

Which FD.io features (new or existing) are most important to achieve your goals?

Identify Your FD.io Learning Profile

(1) DATA PLANE DEVELOPERS: We expect that data plane developers are already highly-proficient in C and gdb, knowledgeable about CPU / board / system architectures (including cache hierarchies), and are deeply familiar with things like bit-level networking, Endianness & pointer size issues, instruction prefetch, and NUMA effects. Additional “nice-to-have” skills might include experience with parallel programming, thread-safe design patterns, SIMD vector unit programming, statistical code profiling (e.g. perf, vTune), and familiarity with tools like git/gerrit and autotools (libtool, autoconf, automake). (2) "USERS" (NON-DATA PLANE DEVELOPER): FD.io “users” are likely working on things like system installation, management, system performance optimization, deployment activities; and building and integrating larger systems out of FD.io and other technologies. (3) MANAGEMENT: This training profile is for those who are managers and do not fall into the Developer or User profiles above.
