Grameen Foundation Fall 2014 Internship Application

Fall Internship Dates are September to December (adjustments can be made if needed)

Grameen Foundation has placements across our programs and departments, which vary from term to term. This application is meant to help identify some of the key skills requested by our teams based on their current needs. For example, copywriting may be needed for internships within the Marketing department AND the Social Performance program.

Field of Study/Program

In 2-4 sentences, explain why you are interested in an internship with Grameen Foundation. Candidates should demonstrate their enthusiasm and commitment to our mission and help us understand what you plan to contribute to the organization. If there is a specific Grameen Foundation Program you are interested in, please add that information as well.

Candidates interested in marketing or communications positions should have experience in or exposure to: copywriting/editing, website analytics/management, event planning, research, outreach, press/media relations, social media, video editing, etc.

Additional requirements: Candidates must submit two writing samples in addition to the general application. Samples may be academic or professional, but should not exceed five pages each. Samples may be excerpts of a larger work. Candidates may also submit examples of their design work.

Please list any certifications or experience you may have in business, financial analysis, or accounting. Applicants who would like to be considered for Finance, Investment or Business Analysis positions should have a good understanding of business and accounting principles, a basic understanding of investment concepts, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, strong attention to detail, ability to problem-solve, excellent written and verbal skills and an interest in global business.

Technology positions may require experience in one or more of the following: Mobile Apps development/testing; M-Health, Agriculture, Mobile Money, and Mobile Businesses; Salesforce integration; Data analytics; Database design; and Knowledge Management.

Full-time means 40 hours/week. If you are not available full-time please indicate how many hours per week your are available.
