Population Profile Report Request Form

Population Profile Reports (PPRs) are the best way for you to get the full picture of your area, and what its population looks like using 2021 Census Data. It can help you with marketing, strategic planning, advocacy or as a starting point for organisational change.

Please note: We’ll confirm the details and cost of your PPR(s) via the email address you provide within two working days, after which your PPR will be delivered within fourteen working days. If you need any support completing the form contact our Support Team on 020 7260 2505 or email support@theaudienceagency.org

Which type of report do you need?

  • A standard Population Profile Report (PPR) includes demographic metrics plus Audience Spectrum segmentation, aggregated for your target area
  • A Population Profile Report Plus (PPR+) includes all the above, and an additional breakdown of these variables for every ward within your target area. This may be useful if you want to learn where to find specific population groups within your wider target area.
  • A Population Change Report (PCR) provides the key population metrics for your target area with a change comparison between the 2011 and 2021 Census.

Please refer to this page for example reports and information on what is included in each one.

Defining your target and base areas

The target area is the area for which you would like population data. It can be an existing, defined area (e.g. a region, unitary authority, local authority or ward) or an area based on the drive time, drive distance or straight-line distance from a postcode (for example, 30 minutes' drive time from a postcode).

Please consider the target area carefully; too small and it may not cover your whole catchment area, too large and the unique characteristics of your catchment may be diluted amongst a larger region.

The base area is a comparison to a larger area than your target, which allows you to identify the unique characteristics of your target area. This would typically be either the region in which your area sits, the country (England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland), or the UK as a whole.

Again, please consider your choice of base area carefully to ensure it is most useful to you.
