Day One: Feb 27 (9 a.m.) - Career Empowerment Session "Rebounding after a layoff..."

Opening event kick-off address by the City of Alexandria 's Chief Human Resources Officer and other local government leaders on opportunities for building a successful career and overcoming adversity in today's job market (45 mins).

Day One: Feb 27 (10 a.m.) Job Interview "Do's & Don'ts", Communication Techniques for Having A Great Interview Experience.

This is an instructor-led group workshop by the City of Alexandria's Workforce Development Team will share tips

on ways applicants can prepare effectively for interviews. and identify key materials to bring. Participants will learn how to close an interview for lasting positive impressions (45 mins).

Day One: Feb 27 (11 a.m.) Resume & Cover Letter Writing Workshop

The City of Alexandria's Workforce Development Team will review strategies and provide guidance on effectively formatting and tailoring resumes and cover letters to help applicants stand out and get an interview. (45 mins).
