Application to Transfer Highly Capable Designation from another public school district to NSD

If your student has been offered a Highly Capable Designation in another public school district, you may be able to transfer it to Northshore for the following school year by submitting documentation of your Highly Capable program offer on your previous school’s letterhead along with the Transfer of HiCap Designation application form.

Criteria required to transfer a Highly Capable designation

•    Student must be in grade 1-8.

•    Students must show proof of residence in the Northshore School District

•    Student should submit the offer of Highly Capable services on your previous school's letterhead

•    Student should submit all Highly Capable testing result including a cognitive test score (CogAT, NNAT, etc.) and an achievement score (ITBS, IOWA, etc.)

•    Student should submit a current report card

•    Students should include any active IEP or Section 504 documentation

This is the seven-digit number assigned by the district upon enrollment. If you have not yet enrolled, you may not have a Student ID number.

This is the neighborhood school your student would attend if they were enrolled in NO NSD programs. Neighborhood School determines which program school your student will attend if their transfer is granted. If you do not know your Neighborhood School, visit the Transportation website and enter your home address. (username is "public", password is "public") https://versatrans.nsd.org/elinkrp/
