2025 Fairview Housing Partners Scholarship Application


Fairview Housing Partners is offering multiple scholarships totaling several thousand dollars.


Thank you for considering this opportunity. Please read the following text carefully to make sure your submission is correct.


Statement of Purpose: The Scholarship Committee awards scholarships for the purpose of recognizing education and career advancement for high school seniors and adults who actively reside in eligible affordable housing properties and have pursued academic or technical excellence. These awards are intended to provide financial assistance to student residents attaining their educational and career goals. Scholarships are funded by Fairview Housing Partners-affiliated fundraising events and its membership.


This application should take 20-30 minutes to complete. You cannot pause this application it has to be completed in full at time of submission. Make sure you have these application requirements BEFORE starting the application. The required attachments are:

  • Official high school transcript with 2.5 cumulative GPA (Including Senior Year 1st Semester grades); OR
  • Copy of GED Certification, OR
  • A current official technical school or college transcript; AND
  • 2 Letters of recommendation from a teacher, school counselor, or administrator, academic advisor, professor, supervisor for past or current job. (Note: the letter cannot be from a relative of the applicant)
  • Email/statement from the property manager confirming that the scholarship applicant, or the applicant’s parent or guardian is a resident in good standing.
  • Essay: Must be typed, at minimum 250 words and no longer than 1000 words. Place your initials and date of birth on each page of the essay.


Essay Topic: “How Adversity Became My Greatest Teacher"

Discuss a significant challenge and how it provided valuable insights that shaped your future life goals.

Cumulative GPA out of 4.0, example 3.0 out of 4.0

Applicants must list the organization name, title, time active, supervisor name and email for each entry.


Required Attachments

Transcripts


High School Students: Attach an official high school transcript with cumulative GPA including all grades for all classes up to and including the first semester of your senior academic year.


Technical School/College Students: Include an official technical school or college/university transcript.


These items are required for this scholarship application to be considered complete. Applications received without an official transcript will not be considered for scholarship awards.


Essay

Essay Topic:


“How Adversity Became My Greatest Teacher"

  • Discuss a significant challenge and how it provided valuable insights that shaped your future life goals.


Essays must be typed and include a minimum of 250 words and must not exceed 1,000 words. Please attach your essay on a separate page and place your initials and date of birth on each page of the essay.


Letter of Recommendation


Letter of Recommendation: Submit two signed letters of recommendation from someone familiar with your character, service, and achievements (high school teacher, counselor, administrator, principal, coach, community member, professor, academic advisor, past or current work supervisor, etc.)


Note: Letters of recommendation must be written and signed by the recommender and cannot be a relative of applicant.


Property Management Statement



Email/statement from the property manager confirming that the scholarship applicant, or the applicant’s parent or guardian is a resident in good standing.

IMPORTANT: All eligibility and application requirements must be met in order for an application to be considered for scholarship awards. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Completed applications will be accepted on a rolling basis but must be postmarked no later than June 2, 2025. No application materials will be accepted after the deadline
