OVPRI Buddy System Intake Form for Current Employees

In an effort to improve onboarding and along with it, employee satisfaction and retention, the OVPRI instituted a new employee buddy system. The goal of the program is to provide new hires with a current employee buddy outside of their unit, who is likely a more neutral part than somebody within their unit and can help the new employee navigate workplace culture, answer questions, address concerns, and provide resources. The purpose of this form is to provide necessary data to the OVPRI DEIC subcommittee responsible for buddy matching. The information you provide in this form will only be shared with members of this subcommittee and OVPRI human resources staff. Upon completing the survey, new employees will be matched within a week of their start date. Current employees will be contacted as soon as they are matched with a new employee. If they are not matched within one year of volunteering to participate in the program, they will be contacted and asked if they would like to stay on the list of potential buddies.
