Certificate of Achievement in a Foreign Language
Applicants for the Certificate of Achievement in a Foreign Language (“foreign language” being defined as a language other and English and one’s native tongue) must major in Political Science and fulfill one of the following two conditions (or some combination thereof approved by the Director of Undergraduate Studies).
- The applicant has taken two Political Science courses in a foreign language beyond their school language requirement (usually completed during study abroad).
- The applicant has done independent research in a foreign language (research, reading, and/or writing) as certified by Director of Undergraduate Studies or a student’s research advisor. Students who have questions should meet with the Director of Undergraduate Studies before submitting this form.
At the bottom of this form, you must upload: 1. Unofficial transcripts 2. Syllabus for listed courses OR your research project or certification of your research from your advisor.
