Brief intervention toolkit (BIT) training
expression of interest
The Brief Intervention Toolkit (BIT) is an evidence-based intervention for young people experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health conditions. BIT has a menu of nine module options that you can explore with young people based on their identified needs. The modules offer young people an opportunity to learn and practice essential wellbeing skills that help overcome issues they may be experiencing (e.g. problems with anxiety, mood, anger, self-esteem, etc.).
Orygen is excited to offer training for individual professionals (mental health clinicians, psychologists, social workers, OT’s, youth workers, GPs, practice nurse and secondary school nurses, etc.) looking to upskill in the Brief Intervention Toolkit.
The one-day training will cover:
* introduction and overview of BIT,
* screening and measuring outcomes in BIT,
* using modules in practice, and
* scaffolding modules and using them flexibly.
