ACCESS AUTHORIZATION

• Department Directors have the authority to approve requests to change lock sets, rekey individual doors and issue keys to individuals for spaces under their jurisdiction up to and including the Master Key level. Department Directors shall have accountability for all individual and Master keys issued to their departments.

• Vice-Presidents have the authority to approve requests for manufacture and issuance of keys for spaces under their jurisdiction at the Grand Master Key level.

• Issuance of Great Grand Master Keys and Great Great Grand Master keys must be approved by the UCM Chief Executive Officer or UCM Key Control Authority. ACCOUNTABILITY

• Persons authorizing issuance of keys shall have overall accountability for the issued keys and insure that keys are returned on termination of key holders’ relationship with UCM or when they no longer have a need for the keys. Accountable persons shall report lost, damaged, or missing keys to the Director of Public Safety as soon as possible.
