The Pledge

I understand as a student enrolled in AIM Pathways to Structured Literacy Practicum that it is my responsibility to complete the following tasks:

Attend all practicum implementation meetings*

Purchase the Practitioner Guides Vol. 1 & Vol. 2*

Secure an appropriate student to tutor*

Meet with my student 3x weekly, 45 min./session*

Meet with my student for a min. of 24 weeks**

Complete a student profile with pre-assessment*

Complete a minimum of 50 lessons*

Complete three (3) formal observations**

Must meet satisfactory requirements. If the candidate requires an additional observation beyond the three, remediation will be provided and one additional observation will be granted as needed.

Maintain digital records*

This pertains to lesson plans, lesson log, and student work that will require creating PDF documents and uploading to the online platform

Upload observation video recordings*

Recordings must have clear video and audio of the tutoring session(s) and be put on our online platform.

Complete the post assessment & final closing docs*

Complete the practicum by May 31st*

PSL Course Completion*

Please attach either your PSL Certificate of Completion. PSL must have been completed within the last five (5) years with a score of 85% or higher in both the Post-KI and overall course grades.
