Save Lives Oregon Harm Reduction Supply Clearinghouse

Thank you for your interest in the Save Lives Oregon (SLO) Harm Reduction Supply Clearinghouse Project!

The SLO Harm Reduction Supply Clearinghouse project offers no cost harm reduction supplies intended to prevent overdose, infection and injury related to drug use. Participating organizations can order supplies from the project's approved supply list. In addition to supply support, participants can access free technical assistance from experienced community partner programs.

Eligible applicants are agencies that plan to hand out no cost Clearinghouse supplies directly to people who are using substances or people who are at high risk for overdose. Eligible applicants include:

  • Community-based organizations with 501(c)(3) status or 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship
  • Harm Reduction and Syringe Service Programs within Community Health Clinics or FQHCs
  • Local Public Health Authority Harm Reduction and Syringe Service Programs
  • Tribal community and health care programs that serve people who use drugs
  • Withdrawal management or residential substance use disorder treatment programs for clients who are waitlisted, dismissed, or leave
  • Uniformed First Responder agencies implementing ‘Leave Behind’ naloxone distribution programs
  • Jails providing release packets that include naloxone and/or other harm reduction supplies to people who may be at risk of overdose when they are released

Participating organizations will be required to report distribution of the naloxone, syringes and sharps containers.

Additionally, for organizations ordering syringes for distribution, we will ask for a syringe collection, storage and disposal plan that details how syringes will be:

  1. Collected from community members,
  2. Transported from outreach or mobile sites to disposal sites,
  3. Stored prior to disposal, and
  4. Disposed of, including any signed agreements with biohazardous waste companies or another entity that has agreed to handle used syringe disposal.

Please reach out to info@savelivesoregon.org if technical assistance is required to support legal syringe disposal planning.

Any questions about the application should be directed to info@savelivesoregon.org with "CLEARINGHOUSE QUESTION" in the subject line.
