The Dell Scholars Program is a great opportunity that provides students with a $20,000 scholarship and personalized, multifaceted support for the academic, financial, and emotional life challenges faced in college.

The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation would like to see more students considered for this opportunity and are hosting a competition to encourage more applicants. Eligibility is determined by the following criteria:

• At least 50% of your school’s total 12th grade AVID Elective students must complete a 2024 Dell Scholars Program application.

• In order to increase equitable access for students who identify as male in AVID, your male application rate must be at least 50% for your male 12th grade AVID Elective students. (The criteria for the male student application rate of 50% is based on the ratio of the # of 12th grade AVID students who identify as male, vs. the # of those students who apply. For example, if the 12th grade Elective has 10 male students, at least 5 male students would need to apply to meet the criteria.)
