As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to "self-select" a Section that best aligns with your company's role in the commercial chain – whether you're a distributor, domestic manufacturer, importer or foreign manufacturer. We may have tailored communications or meetings for each Section in the future, guided by the leadership of each respective Section.
Section Descriptions:
- Domestic Manufacturer - A business entity that manufactures industrial woodworking machinery, ancillary equipment and/or supplies in the North America (United States, Canada or Mexico).
- Importer/Foreign Manufacturer - A business entity that imports new industrial woodworking machinery, ancillary equipment and/or supplies for the purpose of resale for its own account in North America.
- Distributor - A business entity that sells industrial woodworking machinery, ancillary equipment and/or supplies not of its own manufacture, direct to the user, as a distributor. Note: A firm, corporation, partnership or individual functioning solely as a manufacturer’s representative, agent or employee, under the direct ownership or control of the manufacturers he or she represents, is not considered a distributor.
