The Paramedic apprenticeship is fully paid financial assistance to support tuition and other expenses while you progress through the program.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

• Paid tuition and wages, books, uniforms, etc.
• Open to anyone without experience or already hold a current EMT certificate
• Work for Sanford while you go to school
• Recipients agree to work for Sanford Health as an Paramedic for a period of 3 years in a full time status after successful graduation.

When completing your application please include the following:

1. Resume
2. Letter of Recommendation (not required, but can be helpful)

ELIGIBILITY

• Meet Sanford Health employment requirements
• 18 years of age
• Ability to register with North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS application page)
• Meet minimum requirements for admission to paramedic program other than EMT license and BIO 220/220L
• Ability to meet technical standards (see link above)
• Have current immunizations/immunity

FUNDING

Sanford Health provides this financial resource directly to NDSCS. You will see the taxes being deducted in the tax year of your employment. This is in accordance with the Internal Revenue Services’ guidelines. Recipients are not eligible for any Sanford Health Hiring Bonus being offered at the time of employment. Failure to comply with any of the requirements of this program will result in repayment of the loan with interest. This sponsorship can be used in conjunction with other financial aid.
