Dear Volunteer: You have been asked to review and electronically sign this disclosure document because you have expressed an interest in volunteering as a ShotLink data collector at a PGA TOUR tournament. If you would like to proceed as a data collector, please read this information in its entirety, then complete the questionnaire below. As you know, PGA TOUR ShotLink data is used for various purposes, including scoring the competition, enhancing the broadcast, supporting digital platforms and applications for spectators, and improving player performance. The PGA TOUR also distributes ShotLink data to sportsbooks that offer legal betting on its tournaments. The PGA TOUR believes that distributing ShotLink data for betting generates more interest in PGA TOUR tournaments and provides a safe, secure alternative to unofficial betting products. As a potential collector of ShotLink data, you need to be aware that while unlikely, you could be approached by someone seeking to manipulate the data you collect to gain an advantage in the betting markets. In addition, there may be people on the golf course (known as “courtsiders” or “scouts”) who seek to secretly transmit the results of the tournament for unauthorized betting purposes, and you may be in a position to observe or help identify this illicit activity. If any non-official person inquires about the data you are collecting or if you observe suspicious activity, we will ask you to notify the ShotLink staff and/or PGA TOUR security immediately. You are under no obligation to proceed as a ShotLink data collector. If you are uncomfortable proceeding as a ShotLink data collector for any reason, please notify your volunteer coordinator, who will help you find another volunteer position. To proceed as a ShotLink volunteer, please answer these questions and electronically "sign" this disclosure by clicking "I agree" below. (Please note that for proper tracking of this form and your subsequent online training, ShotLink volunteers each need a unique, individual email address. Make sure you use the same email address for this form that you have provided to your tournament and ShotLink committee chair).
