New Junior Guild Requirements

Junior guilds function almost identically to a standard guild, with the exception that they are primarily led by volunteers younger than 18 years old. Additionally, junior guilds must have oversight and support from parent, guardian and/or adult advisor(s).




New Junior Guild Requirements


  • Minimum age requirement: 13 years old


  • Minimum of eight founding members: This includes four officers, and four adult advisors (age 18 and over). Parent, guardian and/or adult advisors serve as a members alongside junior officers to support fundraising best practices, serve as a signer on the guild's bank account and ensure the junior guild follows Guild Association policies and compliance.


  • Minimum $5,000 annual fundraising total: New junior guilds are asked to provide a fundraising plan outlining how the group will fundraise and budget. Additionally, this plan should highlight a continuity strategy, highlighting its process for passing down leadership roles to new members once founding members graduate.


  • Minimum 5-year commitment

If you are under the age of 18, kindly share your age and grade level. Please note that the minimum age to form a new junior guild is 13 years old.

Junior guilds are required to have at least four adult advisors (ages 18 and over). Parent, guardian and/or adult advisors serve as a members alongside junior officers to support fundraising best practices, serve as a signer on the guild's bank account and ensure the junior guild follows Guild Association policies and compliance.


Please only submit this form once you have recruited at least one adult advisor to support your fundraising vision. Once this form is submitted, a staff member will be in touch to set-up a phone call. If you are younger than 18 years old, we require an adult to also be available to participate in the initial phone call.

Guilds support many different areas at Seattle Children's, including uncompensated care, clinical programs and research. Please indicate here if you already have a specific area in mind that you're interested in benefiting.
