UC Environmental Stewards Instructor Application
UC Environmental Stewards provides flexible, adaptable UC certification courses to create or improve existing naturalist & climate educator training programs. Together with our local community-based partner organizations, we foster a diverse community of stewards and promote stewardship of California’s natural resources through education and service.
A California Naturalist or Climate Stewards course needs both an approved partnering organization and a qualified instructor. There are criteria for partnering organizations and instructors to ensure that UC Environmental Stewards courses meet the standards of the program and UC Davis Extension. Partner organizations or agencies must be trusted institutions within the communities they serve and have a proven-track-record of success delivering science-based environmental education and service. Instructors must have the science education or professional experience to successfully teach and coordinate a high school AP/community college level introductory science course.
This application is designed to collect the relevant information necessary to confirm that instructors have the necessary knowledge, experience, and skills to successfully lead a California Naturalist or Climate Stewards course. Please be sure to highlight any relevant experience including your own California Naturalist or Climate Stewards Certification.
