Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) Training Request Form

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is funding Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) training for programs in underserved areas without a local DRDP trainer. CDSS is particularly interested in supporting the professional development of family childcare providers. Many virtual learning opportunities and a limited amount of in-person training will be available.

Please complete and submit this training request form to apply for training for your program. WestEd will accept requests from childcare programs, home networks, resource and referral agencies, Quality Counts California hubs, and other entities. WestEd will prioritize training based on the criteria above.

We require a minimum of three weeks notice for scheduling any training, for changes to training type, or other major changes, including cancellations. If material links are shared and the training is cancelled, refunds are at 50%.

The costs for training are:

DRDP Overview Webinar $1,200 (1 hour informational webinar for up to 100 people)

$1,500.00 for Intro to Formative Assessment for TK Webinar (100 people)

Teacher Training for TK: Virtual: $3,000.00, up to 30 max. participants. Select 3 dates. In-Person: $5,000.00. Must be held on one date. Up to 50 max. participants

DRDP Online Training: Virtual only: $2,000 per session. (Delivered in one 3-hour session, up to 30 max. different participants per session.

All Other Virtual Trainings: $3,000 (Delivered via Zoom in two 3-hour sessions; typically over two days, up to 30 max. participants. Virtual trainings include one hour of pre-work that must be completed before the training.)

In-Person Trainings in CA: $5,000.00 for 50 or less participants. Delivered in person on one day (8 am-4 pm, inc. breaks) *Additional costs may apply if custom event or remote from airport. WestEd requires 2 weeks notice for In-person training cancellations.

*All In-Person Trainings outside CA: Total cost per group of 50 or less participants: $6,600.00 *Additional travel costs may apply if remote from airport.

Full day in person trainings require 8 hours, not including set up. Virtual trainings include an hour of pre-work, and are two 3-hour sessions, typically held on nearby or consecutive dates.

Some early care programs may require licensed vendors to help them manage, access, analyze, display and/or report child-level information. Licensed vendors may facilitate the collection of DRDP assessment observations and the submission of such ratings for scoring.
