The (INSPIRE) Program
Internship for Networking Strategic Professional Instruction Reaching Everyone
INSPIRE offers students and recent graduates from colleges and universities across the U.S. an opportunity to nurture and grow their knowledge and skills in overdose and substance use disorder prevention programming and Indigenous evaluation. Interns will work within American Indian and Alaska Native serving health departments and organizations with on-site mentorship. The applied, practical work experience on site will be accompanied by a professional development training series, developed by Seven Directions, at the University of Washington, and National Network for Public Health Institutes (NNPHI). This program is designed to support early career practitioners and professionals serving American Indian and Alaska Native health nations and communities to address pressing concerns and needs for Indigenous peoples' and community health and wellness.
