Camp Pathways Volunteer Application

Thank-you for your interest in volunteering at Camp Pathways!!


Camp Pathways is a unique experience offered to grieving children ages 7-17 who have experienced the loss of a parent, sibling, or significant grandparent. Campers have the opportunity to both attend to their grief and have fun distractions from their grief. As a “Buddy” you will be paired with a camper of the same gender to support them in their journey throughout the weekend. You will have the opportunity to choose your preferred age group of campers to buddy.


Volunteering at Camp Pathways requires the ability to commit to being present for the entire camp weekend including overnights Friday, June 24-Sunday, June 26, 2022. You can expect your volunteer time to be completed no later than 2:00 pm on Sunday. Camp Pathways will take place at Camp Joy Outdoor Education Center in Warren County.


Please start the application below. First time volunteers must complete and return two references using the form provided to you upon completion of the form below. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. All prospective volunteers must agree to be fingerprinted and return a cleared background check in order for their application to be approved. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination will be required for all volunteers. Volunteers may apply for a religious or medical exemption which will be considered and approved on a case by case basis.


This application and all required documentation must completed and returned no later than 4/29/22 by 5pm.


Training will be provided to all first-time volunteers.

Smoking is prohibited in all facilities used by and partnered with Ohio's Hospice. To eliminate residual smoke contact for our patients and customers, all staff are prohibited from smoking, on or off of the Ohio's Hospice campus and must not have an odor of residual smoke, while on work time. This applies to all colleagues, staff, students, contracted personnel, volunteers, and vendors. Are you willing to comply with this statement?
