Are you invested in improving literacy in Washington, DC? Are you a published author or illustrator? Do you want to give back to the Washington, DC, community and improve the skills DC adults need to succeed in life? Apply to participate at one of the Junior League of Washington’s free literacy fairs this spring, either as a TED talk-style speaker; as the leader/facilitator of a workshop or seminar; or as an exhibitor. In 2019-2020, JLW is hosting three literacy fairs in celebration of our 20th anniversary working within the greater Washington, DC, metropolitan community to increase literacy, called Readers2Leaders. Each fair will include seminars, workshops, readings, book drives, and activities for kids and families. Learn more at jlw.org/readers2leaders. Please note JLW is unable to offer compensation for participation, as this is a free, community event. Sales of goods or services may not take place on the premises at any of the fairs. Other restrictions, pending location of the events, may apply.
