Good News Stories

Thank you for sharing your stories of Outreach services and Eye and Ear Health Coordination Programs. These stories play an invaluable role in increasing the understanding and appreciation of this work. By completing the fields below, you will be providing the essential information we need to write up these stories. In particular, photos are very important and we have developed guidelines to help you with these. We encourage you to submit photos – taken with consent – wherever possible. These stories may be used in our reports to the Commonwealth Department of Health. RDN may also wish to further develop some case studies to showcase on our website or other platform.

Photos are one of the best ways to bring stories to life and provide a way for us to share the work you do. Please attach any photos to this form below. Please also download and sign our release form https://www.nswrdn.com.au/client_images/2264996.pdf to enable RDN to use these photos with the report to the Department of Health and externally, such as on the RDN website. Provide a caption below for any photos you attach. Please include: • the name of any individuals in the photo (who wish to be named) • their occupations • the location and the • the service/program being featured.

Photography tips • Take photos in landscape orientation (wider than they are tall). • Make sure only people who are providing consent are in the frame. • Where possible, try to take a photo that demonstrates the service/program in action. If this is not possible, a photo of a health care provider is the next best option. Consider light: • Are there shadows on the subject's face? • Don’t photograph your subject with the light behind them as it will reduce the quality of the photo. • Don’t photograph your subject with the light shining directly in their eyes, they will squint. • Even, balanced light is good to aim for. Sometimes using a flash during the day can soften shadows. If you reach the upload limit for photos, please send any additional photos to outreach@nswrdn.com.au
