Job Shadowing Program

Sanford Health offers job shadow opportunities for individuals interested in exploring careers in health care. A job shadow is an observational experience that allows participants to learn about a specific job by spending time with a seasoned professional in their field. This program provides a unique chance to see patient care in action, gain insight into daily responsibilities, and ask questions about the role. It helps participants determine whether a particular career path aligns with their interests and goals.
Job Shadowing Program Overview:
- Eligibility: Open to Juniors in high school or above.
- Purpose: To provide an opportunity to observe patient care and learn about a specific job from an experienced professional. It helps participants determine if a career is the right fit for them.
- Duration: Observation time ranges from a minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of 8 hours.
- Opportunity: Participants can ask questions and gain insight into a career they are considering.
Before You Apply:
- Vaccination Requirement: You must have up-to-date vaccinations.
- Availability: Not all areas at Sanford have opted in to allow job shadowing. Available areas will be visible during the application process.
- Age/Grade Requirement: You must be a Junior in high school or above.
