Infant CPR Class
About:
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) allows you to manually circulate a person's blood through his or her body during an emergency. Because babies are tiny, infant CPR is different than for adults. The infant CPR class teaches proper technique to be prepared in the event of a life-threatening emergency.
In this class, you will learn:
- The signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest in infants
- How to position an infant for CPR
- Rescue breathing and chest compressions
- When to call 9-1-1
- Infant CPR classes are available for five families per class. All childbirth classes are offered free of charge through The BirthPlace at Hendrick.
