Post-Baccalaureate Student Admit to Major
When to complete this form:
- if student has a been AWARDED a bachelor's degree and wishes to pursue a SECOND bachelor's degree.
- student will be admitted to the major with requested degree (program/plan)
OR
- student will be coded as undergraduate non-degree seeking, post-baccalaureate
When to complete the Student Program Plan Action form:
- if student is CURRENTLY ADMITTED to a major as a post-baccalaureate student and wishes to change the major or to pursue additional plans (e.g., minors or certificates)
- if student has APPLIED TO GRADUATE and wishes to pursue a second degree and enroll in a future term at WSU
** Completing the Student Program Plan Action form does not update the student’s record as a post-baccalaureate student; the program will be changed to post-baccalaureate AFTER student’s WSU degree is conferred. **
IMPORTANT
- Student cannot be admitted to a major seeking a degree of the same name as the prior earned degree, even if the name of the major is different (Academic Regulation 54 (3b))
- Students seeking financial aid should consult with Student Financial Services.
- WSU graduating seniors will be changed to post-baccalaureate after the degree is conferred.
- Student is admitted to the major using the current year and term. If a future year and term is necessary, provide information in the 'processing notes' field (Academic Regulation 111)
- Students who plan to begin a program of graduate studies should consult with the WSU Graduate School.
- Student must be admitted to the major for all academic programs/plans to be awarded at the time the degree is conferred.
