Report a Welfare Incident/Concern (other than serious/imminent risk)

If you have a safeguarding concern you MUST report it.

FOR SERIOUS CONCERNS/IMMINENT RISK DO NOT USE THIS FORM.

If you have a serious concern and you believe that a child or adult at risk is at imminent risk in the first instance you must contact the Police or Children/Adult Services in your area and then contact the Equality and Safeguarding Manager on the emergency 24hr safeguarding number: 07526 003030 immediately.

If you are in doubt as to whether your concern is serious, contact the Equality and Safeguarding Manager, Liz Behnke for advice on 077177 40125.

Complaints vs Safeguarding - You can check here for examples of issues that have been raised as safeguarding but should be raised as other types of complaints. Just because a child is involved in a complaint does not automatically mean it is a safeguarding concern.

If the Equality and Safeguarding Manager is unavailable call the NSPCC (help@nspcc.org.uk) who are available 24/7 for help, advice and support: 0808 800 5000

Reporting where there is no serious concern or no immediate risk.

If there is no immediate risk, you can report the incident/concern in the following ways:

1) If the concern arises during an event, you should contact the designated event welfare officer

2) If the concern relates to an affiliated club activity, you should contact the club welfare officer

3) If none of the above apply or you are not comfortable speaking to the nominated welfare officers please contact the Equality and Safeguarding Manager during normal working hours: Liz Behnke on 077177 40125 OR complete this form.

When reporting a safeguarding concern we encourage you to provide details which allows us to investigate. If we get anonymous concerns with no details of when/where and who was present when these concerns were identified we are unlikely to be able to investigate.

You do not need to give your name to report a concern. However, we encourage that personal information is disclosed to enable appropriate follow up. If you don’t supply any personal data we will not be able to follow up with you if we need clarification, and cannot update you on progress. We may be able to keep your details anonymous (see below to indicate preferences).

Depending on the concern(s) being raised we may be able to keep your anonymity as we investigate.
