TapMpls Water Fountains
Read this information carefully:
- Apply for permit at least 4 weeks prior to the event.
- The event must take place in Minneapolis between April 15 and October 15.
- Fountains are not available for events on: Memorial Day weekend; Juneteenth or Juneteenth weekend; Independence Day or Independence Day weekend; and Labor Day weekend.
- Fountains are for drinking water only. If you need water for another purpose such as hand washing, preparing food or drinks, cleaning, etc., complete a hydrant or temporary meter permit application.

Large event exception: If your event is anticipated to have 10,000 or more attendees, requests for trailers for holidays will be considered but cannot be guaranteed and special conditions for trailer security and operation may be required.
