Please use this form to nominate 4th-year undergraduate students for the Outstanding Undergraduate Service Award.
Nominations for the award may be submitted by faculty members, fellow students, or staff. (Self-nominations are not permitted).
The Outstanding Undergraduate Service Award recognizes a 4th-year undergraduate student who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to supporting the mission and activities of the department through service. This award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to building a sense of community, fostering collaboration, and enhancing the overall experience of students, faculty, and staff within the department.
AWARD CRITERIA
The recipient of the Outstanding Undergraduate Service Award will have demonstrated any of the following:
Departmental Engagement:
- Active involvement in departmental events, committees, or initiatives, such as student organizations, outreach programs, or alumni relations.
- Consistent and meaningful contributions that advance the goals of the department.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Leadership in organizing, coordinating, or participating in departmental activities that promote a positive and inclusive community.
- Effective collaboration with peers, faculty, and staff to address departmental needs or challenges.
Commitment to Service:
- A strong sense of responsibility and initiative in taking on service-related tasks or projects.
- Dedication to creating opportunities for others, such as mentoring, organizing workshops, or facilitating professional development for students.
Impact and Legacy:
- Evidence of a lasting, positive impact on the department through service efforts.
- Contributions that inspire others to engage in service and enhance the department’s reputation or environment.
