Center for Legal Studies Graduate Fellowship Application
The Center for Legal Studies offers programming for graduate students from the social sciences, the humanities, and business whose interests include the study of law, legal institutions, and legal processes broadly construed. JD/PhD students are welcome and encouraged to be Fellows, but the program is not limited to those pursuing a JD (or to those who already have one). We ask our GFILS to participate in a handful of events during the academic year, such as our graduate/faculty reading group (which meets once per quarter). You will also receive preference for travel funding to present at interdisciplinary socio-legal conferences (e.g. Law and Society Association; Conference on Empirical Legal Studies; Law, Culture and Humanities). We will also add you to our listserv, where we post information about jobs, fellowships, calls for papers, and local events relating to socio-legal studies. Each Spring we will solicit applications for Teaching Assistantships in Legal Studies.
