Partner Readiness Assessment
Thank you for expressing interest in Relay’s National Principal Supervisor and Principal's Academy. We are excited to explore partnership with you and your district or organization. At Relay, we believe that great leaders are made, not born. Our goal is to partner with districts and organizations who have the will to lead transformative improvement in their schools and provide them the training to build a coherent set of instructional leadership skills and systems to do so. The following inventory is designed to help you determine whether this leadership program is a good fit for your district or organization. Please note that our program values will over skill though the practices that we train leaders to implement will require certain instructional systems in place. Not having certain systems in place does not necessarily disqualify you from participation in the program though we expect that partners and participants have a willingness to put these systems in place during and following their year in the program. Given the urgency of this work, the commitment required to align school improvement initiatives, and the complex nature implementation, this tool has been designed to help Relay and prospective partners evaluate the likelihood of a productive and impactful participant experience. DIRECTIONS FOR DISTRICT OR ORGANIZATION PARNTERS: - This assessment should be completed by a district or organization executive-level leader who directly oversees instruction in schools and leadership development (e.g., Superintendent, Chief Academic Officer, Chief Schools Officer, etc.). - Please respond to the following questions as frankly and with as much evidence as is possible. - Once completed, we will arrange a time to discuss the results of this self assessment and ask/answer as many questions as we can to better understand your specific context. Please reach out to ysimms@relay.edu with any questions you have. Thank you!
