Competition Sponsorship

Greenview may financially assist non-profit organizations, school groups, or individuals when they qualify to compete at provincial, national, or international levels to recognize their significant achievement.


APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

a) Applicants must be a resident of Greenview (defined as an applicant who resides, normally resides in, or whose parents reside in Greenview)

b) Applicants must be attending an organized provincial, national or international event


APPLICANT RESPONSIBILITIES

a) It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure the application is properly completed and submitted to Greenview

b) All grant applicants will be required to electronically submit a Competition Sponsorship Application, which is available through the Greenview website

c) The applicant shall retain a complete copy of the Competition Sponsorship for their records.

d) The applicant shall ensure that any attachments provided are clearly marked with the organization’s or individual’s legal name to facilitate matching their backup documents with the application.

Any Information that the M.D of Greenview may collect on this form is in compliance with Section 33 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The information collected is required for the purpose of carrying out the Competition Sponsorship Program. Please contact the Communications Department at communications@mdgreenview.ab.ca for all use of Greenview Logos as well as advertising, signs and imaging which require authorization by Greenview communications team.

1. The organization applying for the grants is registered with Corporate Registries or under the Societies Act. 2. The grant application is complete and includes all supporting documentation, including most recent financial statement (based on legislative requirements of our organization), balance sheet, current bank balances and current year detailed operating budget or completed Form "A". 3. The grant shall be used for only those purposes for which the application was made; 4. If the original grant application or purposes for which the grant requested have been varied by the MD of Greenview Council, the grant will be used for those varied purposes only; 5. The organization will provide a written report to the MD of Greenview within 90 days of completion of the grant expenditure providing details of expenses, success of project and significance to the ratepayers of the municipality; failure to provide such a report will result in no further grant funding being considered until the final report is filed and grand expenditure verified. 6. The organization agrees to submit to an evaluation of the project related to the grant, and; 7. The organization will return any unused portion of the grant funds to the Municipal District of Greenview or to request approval from the Municipality to use the funds for an optional project.
