Education Committee
Call for Volunteers
PURPOSE OF THE COMMITTEE
Members of the Education Committee (i.e. nurse planners and content experts) oversee all aspects of the WOCN Society’s Continuing Education Center (CEC). Education Committee work includes monitoring, recommending, developing, implementing, and evaluating educational opportunities. The Education Committee works closely with the Society and National Office staff to ensure that educational content is in compliance with the ANCC’s guidelines for accredited providers of CNE.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Individuals serving on the Education Committee must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Active member of the WOCN Society
- Bachelor of Science in nursing degree or higher
- Current RN licensure
- It is desired that at least half of the committee members hold a tri-specialty certification (CWOCN) from the WOCNCB. Remaining committee members must hold single- or dual-specialty certification from the WOCNCB.

LENGTH OF SERVICE
Committee members serve one 2-year term with the option of serving an additional, consecutive 2-year term. The new term will start in June 2025.
TIME COMMITMENT AND EXPECTATIONS
Committee meets once a month for an hour-long meeting (currently held via Zoom). These meetings are scheduled for 7 pm ET on the second Tuesday of each month. Meeting schedule is subject to change. Work in between monthly meetings is done via email.
