This is the seven-digit number on your student's ID card. You can also find this number next to your student's name on the eligibility letter you recently received from the HiCap office.
Single-Subject Elementary students and all Middle school students will stay in their neighborhood school to receive their Highly Capable services. Middle School students who qualified in either Reading or Math will be enrolled in the Advanced Academic Program (AAP) in their neighborhood middle school.
If your student is newly eligible to receive highly capable services in Reading and Math, and your student is currently in grades 1-4, they are eligible to receive highly capable program services. Highly Capable services are delivered to students in grades 2-5 at the following elementary schools: Arrowhead, East Ridge, Canyon Creek, Fernwood, Frank Love, Hollywood Hill, Kenmore, Kokanee, Lockwood, Moorlands, Ruby Bridges, Shelton View, Westhill, and Sunrise. If your school is not currently listed and your student wishes to accept highly capable services in reading and math, they will need to change schools. We provide our dual-qualified (qualified in both Reading and Math) highly capable students in grades 2-5 the opportunity to engage in rigorous, challenging, and enriched curriculum in a self-contained classroom with a cohort of highly capable peers OR in an integrated cluster of highly capable students within a general education classroom.
