Initial & Upgrading Certifications

Please utilize this form to submit your initial and upgrading of certification packets. Ensure you send a copy to yourself at the end of the form. You will receive email updates from the SmartSheet system as to where your certification review is in the process.


If you are simply renewing a certification, you will utilize a different form, linked here.


The AAEM Certification Committee utilize the Certification Program Rules and Regulations when reviewing applications. Incomplete or improper submission of this application will result in a denial of certification. Questions, comments, and appeals can be sent in writing/email to certification@aaem.us.

Members will have login credentials to the ACCA website which houses our online payment system. If you don't have access, please contact the ACCA at 334-263-7594 for assistance.

 
 

Supporting Documentation Upload Section

 

Certification packets must include the Certification Workbook and all supporting documents, in the format detailed below, to be considered complete. Failure to submit the following information as requested will result in a request to resubmit.


Upload your supporting documentation in the following SEPARATE file sections/titles.


Example: All the certificates you have for your Optional Training should be combined into one large single PDF file; that file should be saved as "Optional Training" (i.e. save them with the appropriate titles highlighted below) then uploaded here:


1) Certification Workbook - filled out completely per the instructions on the certification level sought.

2) Required Core IS Education FEMA transcript required. Do not send individual certificates.

3) Additional Core Training - FEMA transcript required for IS courses. All other EM-related certificates must be put in the order they appear on your workbook.
