Emergency Funds Request

This is a request form for emergency funding through the College of Nursing fund. Since this money comes from donors, there are requirements to meet prior to filling out this form.

We must make sure that you have done everything else possible first, including steps such as meeting with financial aid to explore your cost of attendance or loan cap, and that the funding goes towards unexpected expenses. Please include relevant information on steps you have taken thus far when you fill out the Request Details section below. If you have questions, please email nursing.scholarship@wsu.edu.

Request Details

This description should include resources you have already looked at or are currently using.

Typically we are unable to give out more than $1,000, but we understand circumstance will vary per person.

Optional: Please provide any documentation to support your need for funds (ex. past due notices, receipts, quote for car repairs). This allows us to push the funding quickly through WSU, but does not impact the decision on your aid request

Thank you

Thank you for submitting this request! The next steps in the process are that a student success coach will reach out to you to set up a meeting. There, they will review what is going on, identify potential resources and/or strategies to help. After that meeting, this request is routed to the Dean for review.

While this is not a loan and repayment is not required, we do ask that you donate to the emergency fund to help a future student after you have graduated and feel financially stable.

Lastly, please note that if you get approved for funding that goes directly to your Bursar's account. If you have outstanding tuition or other charges, the aid goes to your balance automatically as a student. Otherwise, it will be disbursed to you via direct deposit (if you have enrolled into that) or via a mailed check (to your address on file with WSU).
