E.STARLING HOLLOWAY AWARD

Formerly the Insuror of the Year Award, the E. Starling Holloway Award is given to honor an individual who has made a significant industry contribution, enhanced the ideals and reputation of the insurance industry, or made a significant contribution to his or her community, state or country. This award is open to all felt worthy of the honor; the person who receives it does not have to be a member of BIGIKY, and does not have to be in the insurance business. If you know an individual who meets the criteria, nominate them here.

CSR OF THE YEAR AWARD

The CSR of The Year Award is given to a person working in a Big I KY member agency as a customer service representative/account manager, who typifies the ideals of service. This person’s experience, education, community service and attitude may be taken into consideration in the judging of this award. A person may, or may not be, licensed to be considered for this award. If you know an individual who meets the criteria, nominate them here.

MICHAEL D. HEPP EMERGING LEADER OF THE YEAR

Formerly the Outstanding Young Agent of the Year Award, the Michael D. Hepp Award is given to honor an individual who has made a significant contribution to furthering the Emerging Leaders program both within BIGIKY and the industry as a whole. Nominees must be currently working in a BIGIKY member agency, but do not have to be licensed to be considered. If you know an individual who meets the criteria, nominate them here.

*Current Emerging Leader Chair is ineligible to receive this award.

BUFORD C. MCINTOSH COMPANY PERSON OF THE YEAR

Buford C. McIntosh was a long-time supporter of Big I KY and member agents from all across Kentucky. Buford spent many years with Kentucky Central/Kentucky National Insurance Companies and helped agents of all sizes by believing in their integrity and perseverance. In honor of Mr. McIntosh Big I KY will award annually a lifetime achievement award presented to a person who has been with an industry partner or an insurance company. The recipient is a steward of service to the association and made the insurance industry better for their effort. Nominees must be currently working or retired within the last 12 months with an industry partner/company role. If you know of an individual who meets the criteria, nominate them here.

BE LIKE MIKE AWARD

This award is in honor of a great man who gave his whole heart to serving his state association. Mike Johnson served as a leader in our organization as Emerging Leader Chair in 2009 and Board Chair in 2018. His wit, passion and undeniably bold personality made a lasting impression on anyone he met. Mike’s star was bright for Big I Kentucky and we want to see our members shine in the same way. This award is given to a member who displays exuberance both inside and outside of the industry… in other words, someone just like Mike. The recipient will receive $1,000 from Arlington Roe to donate to a charity of their choosing.
