Final feedback on our leadership role titles

We want to make sure that our role titles are more understandable to existing volunteers, as well as those who don’t currently volunteer with Scouts.


A team of volunteers and staff have conducted lots of research internally and externally, which has led us to two final options to replace the word 'Commissioner' in our role titles.


We'd love to know your final thoughts about the options: Team Leader or Lead Volunteer.


We could use these titles in the following way:

  • Group/District/County Team Leader
  • Group/District/County Lead Volunteer
  • Team Leader for Somewhere Scouts
  • Lead Volunteer for Somewhere Scouts
