ICH Leadership Slate Nomination Form

The DC Interagency Council on Homelessness (ICH) seeks nominations for District Agency and Community Representatives on ICH Committee and Workgroup Leadership Slates, including piloted and newly proposed forums.

ICH will accept self-nominations and nominations for other staff.

Email ich.info@dc.gov with any questions or concerns.

Roles & Responsibilities

Leadership Slates will advance the priorities and projects of the ICH by:

  • Supporting information sharing and implementation of ICH priorities and strategies across the system by requiring representatives to serve on at least two forums.
  • Ensuring there is a cohort of representatives responsible for advancing the workplans of each forum, including:
  • documenting and tracking constituent concerns, and
  • drafting, reviewing, and synthesizing feedback on analyses and recommendations proposed by the ICH.

Time Commitment

In addition to the CMTE or WG monthly meeting, Leadership Slate members will be expected to join prep calls (~1hr) and complete offline work via email (~1-2 hours) such as document review, drafting, etc. The ICH will also encourage slate members to attend quarterly Full Council meetings to the extent possible and most relevant to their forum.

Structure

Leadership Slates will consist of thirteen (13) members, including forum co-chairs, representing the categories aligned with that of the Full Council mandated in the enacting legislation and ICH Bylaws.

The exact breakdown of seats will vary across forums based on the scope and critical partners. In general, ICH is proposing: 2 District Agencies, 3-4 Service Providers, 2-3 Lived Experience, 1-2 Advocacy, and 1-2 Business/Private Sector representatives per forum.

As a standard, the ICH is recommending:

  • Three (3) standard seats for DC Council and CoC infrastructure representation (ICH, TCP);
  • Full Council Community Representatives (20 people) serve in at least one, ideally two forums; and
  • Three (3) co-chairs per forum made up of one representative from a District Agency, person with lived experience and other community member categories.

The ICH anticipates between 72 to 88 slots to be available for broader community member nominations.
