Call for Volunteers
PURPOSE OF THE COMMITTEE
This committee plays a pivotal role in enhancing the member experience, fostering connections, and ensuring that our community continues to thrive and grow. As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase member involvement.
- Organize events, activities, and programs that engage members and build stronger relationships.
- Provide valuable feedback to the national leadership on how we can better serve our community.
- Collaborate with like-minded individuals to create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment for all members.
- Earn 10 PGP points per year, build your personal brand, and demonstrate your commitment to professional and personal development.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current member of the WOCN Society.
- Enthusiasm for supporting and growing our membership community.
- Willingness to contribute ideas and time to enhance member engagement.
- Open communication and team collaboration skills.
VOLUNTEER PERKS: Earn 10 PGP points per year, network with your colleagues, build your personal brand, and demonstrate your commitment to professional and personal development.
LENGTH OF SERVICE: Committee members serve one 2-year term with the option of serving an additional, consecutive 2-year term.
TIME REQUIREMENT: Committee meets monthly for 1 hour via Zoom in the evenings (eastern time zone), plus time to complete tasks between meetings.
WORK SETTING: Work will be done virtually using email, Zoom, Google, and DropBox. Some phone calling may be required.
DESIRED SKILLS: Oral and written communication, social media, collaboration, nurturing, creativity, innovative, enthusiasm for WOC nursing and the Society
