The success of the NISS work is heavily depending on leadership buy-in. NISS services require staffing and resources to advance the conversation and practice around student success. Is the leadership team ready to commit to a project of at least 20 weeks, including a 90-day diagnostic process?

How does your institution plan to commit to this project?

Who are you proposing to assist or serve on a committee for this project? (Please provide the names, positions, duration of service at the institution, and the role in contributing to the project.)

Part of this commitment is staffing. Specifically, the project lead will need to be a staff person with experience in support student success, established relationships on your campus, and with a penchant for planning and problem-solving. Ideally, this person will be a seasoned manager with leadership responsibilities, who is not in an interim role. This individual will need to allocate at least 20% of their time to the project throughout its duration. Can you dedicate a project lead, as described here, to the NISS work?

For the results of the Diagnostic Analysis – the Readiness Playbook – to have meaningful impact, staff will need to regularly review data to drive institution decisions and practices. How do academic-support units at your institution access up-to-date data about your students’ registration enrollment, academic outcomes, financial-aid status, holds, and other issues?

Are there any existing or anticipated challenges in this process? Please explain.
