SEA Center for Racial and Social Justice Len Hill Leader and Advocacy Grant Program
The SEA Center for Racial and Social Justice (CRSJ) is excited to announce the Len Hill Leader and Advocacy Grant Program for the 2024-25 school year.
With the SEA CRSJ Len Hill Leader and Advocacy Grant Program, Racial Equity Teams (RETs) led by SEA members can apply for grants of $500, $750, or $1,500 to fund racial equity work in their SPS school building/programs during the 2024-25 school year.
Six grants for 2024-25 will be awarded in January 2025. If your RET is interested in applying, please read the information below and complete the application as a RET by December 14, 2024 @ 6:00 PM PST for consideration.
RETs may apply for only one project and may be awarded up to $1,500 if selected. Requirements of the grant include:
- The RET must utilize the entire amount of the grant on a racial equity project.
- The RET is responsible for the creation and facilitation of the project but may delegate responsibilities to other staff members.
- The RET agrees on this proposal together.
- Only one grant application per school building through the RET will be accepted.
- The RET will communicate any changes to their proposed project to SEA@washingtonea.org.
- The RET will submit a brief update for sharing on the outcomes of the racial equity project.
Please email sea@washingtonea.org with any questions about the application or process. Thank you for your commitment to racial justice, racial equity, and anti-racism in our schools and beyond!
