North America and UK

Theatrical Original Feature Length Content

For the North America and UK markets, all theatrical original feature length titles (i.e. 60 minutes and more) fall into one of the following three categories:


  • 1. Commercial Theatrical Atmos releases (Planned commercial distribution to 50 or more US-based cinema screens)
  • Dolby’s support for Commercial Theatrical Atmos releases is in the form of a Content Support Package. The Content Support Package is based on the location of the theatrical printmaster and is priced at $6,500 USD for North America and £5,000 GBP for the UK. Travel charges may also apply if support is provided in an area without a local Dolby engineer.


  • The Content Support Package has an allowance of up to 3 Visits of Dolby engineering support which can be used at production company's discretion. Visits can take place in mix studios for tasks such as room alignment or printmaster support, and/or in the cinema for screening support. The high-level definition of a Visit is a period of time, no more than a day, used for the completion of a predetermined Dolby support task. For example, a printmaster session in a studio, or a rehearsal and premiere in a cinema occurring on the same day. We ask that all requests for support are made with at least 5 business days' notice to enable us to make best effort to fulfill the request.


  • Please note the company purchasing the Content Support Package will need to directly book all support Visits with Dolby or authorize additional companies to be able to book the support Visits. Authorizing additional companies can be performed via this questionnaire.


  • 2. Non-Commercial, Limited or Event Cinema Theatrical Atmos releases (Planned commercial distribution to less than 50 US-based cinema screens)
  • Support is offered on an on-demand optional basis, priced using the Dolby Studio Engineering Rate Card. Please contact us for pricing.


  • 3. Non-Atmos Theatrical Releases (i.e. Dolby Surround 7.1, Dolby Surround 5.1, Dolby Digital and Dolby SR)
  • Support is offered on an on-demand optional basis, priced using the Dolby Studio Engineering Rate Card. Please contact us for pricing.


Theatrical Additional Language, Short Form Content (under 60 minutes), Commercials and Trailers

The Content Questionnaire is not required for Theatrical Additional Language, Short Form Content (under 60 minutes), or Commercials and Trailers. If required, support is available. Please contact us to discuss.
