California’s Workplace Violence Prevention Plan Toolkit

By July 1, 2024, nearly all California employers are required to implement a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP). Complete this form if you would like Gunderson's Employment & Labor Group to provide you with a model Workplace Violence Prevention Plan and related training materials and FAQs.

Is your workplace in California and accessible to the public?*
Do you have 10 or more covered California-based employees present at any given time?*

"Covered" does not include employees who are teleworking from a remote location of their choice that is not under the employer's control.

Do you have a California Injury and Illness Prevention Program in place?*

Places of employment where there are fewer than 10 employees working at the workplace at any given time and that are not accessible to the public, are exempt from WVPP if the workplace is in compliance with Section 3203 of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations.

Is the company a healthcare facility that already complies with California workplace safety regulations?*
